BAHAGHARI

Gabby never fails to amuse me.

Just after he saw a rainbow painted on gray skies the other afternoon, he asked      me,

“Daddy, is that a rainbow?”

I said, “Yes, why?”

Then he replied back, “First time kong makakita ng rainbow eh, bakit po sa cartoons dark ang colors nila?”

I’m amazed how kids of his age are so intuitive and easily fascinated with simple things.

Don’t you wish to be forever child-like, to have lots of time to breathe, be worry-free, and do nothing but enjoy simple pleasures in life?

  1. I wish! And every time I wish the first few lines of First of May brings back a recollection…

“When I was small, and Christmas trees were tall,
we used to love while others used to play…”

  2. if only i can remember all those firsts… i will. so great that you get to blog some of gabby’s first. it’s nice to see how kids think. even my nephew, i always ask him the question why… because he’s got the funniest answers.

  3. Sometimes, kids are just kids, and smarter than grown ups. Love that smile! Its been a while since we tuned in to TV cartoon shows, and I do not remember how dark or light the colors are. I can only remember ROYGBIV.

Please check out my post of the Winners: Chalk Festival

It was fun and I enjoyed photographing them.

  4. I do not wish to be child-like, although I think I am; I do wish to have lots of time to breathe, be worry-free, and do nothing but enjoy the simple pleasures in life (and take relaxing rest afterwards). Mission impossible? Not to a retired old fart like me, I am almost there LOL.

  5. Ang pagiging bata ang pinakamasayang part ng buhay ng tao for me. Syempre wala kang masyadong iisipin kundi pag aaral at mga mumunting bagay na akala natin noond ay malaking problema na. 🙂

  6. what i like best about being a kid is being carefree.. that way, you get to explore the world without worrying much. unlike now that we’re grown ups, we tend to overanalyze things, thus, it’s never easy for us to take risks anymore.

  7. galing naman ni Gabby! 🙂
onga noh, sobrang faint ng colors ng rainbow sa totoo lang di ko ma-identify ung ROYGBIV ng isa isa talaga pag asa langit. hehehe

  8. korek, i always wanted to be child na lang. nothing to worry. Kids nowadays tagala are so smart. you’ll always be surprised where they get all their questions.
